League of Legends is an online MOBA game that a few Pantano High School students play- including myself- and we are developing a competitive team for the game.
Joel Long, Joel Gillespie, Blake Golden, and I are building a team for League of Legends Championship 2016. My favorite character is Jinx, Long’s is Vi, Gillespie’s is Ekko, and Blake’s is Master Yi. If we win a number of ranked matches against 27 million other players, we will be able to get to either the Summer Showdown or in Winter Time Snowball Showdown. And if we advance through, we will be able to win one million dollars split between the team.
The downside to this amazingly balanced game is the community at times, some people such as myself are good sports even if the team is winning or losing. Others like to blame the team’s failure on one person who isn’t doing very well, and get very angry if they lose.
Some (but not most) players tend to brag about their accomplishments or “skins” that they’ve unlocked and will make new players feel like they aren’t worthy to be in the same lobby as them.
Other players are very supportive and give advice and don’t mind holding your hand in the game. I usually prefer to have friend that I know playing with me to avoid the poor sports. But this shouldn’t keep you away from playing, because if you just have a good attitude and your team has chemistry, you guys would be able to win. Rules of the game:
There are two teams of 5 and each side of the map which is usually summoners rift. The objective of the game is to push 3 lanes and destroy 6 turrets of the enemy team, destroy the enemy team’s inhibitor, and win the game by defeating the enemy nexus. The opposing team is trying to do the same so your team must work together to achieve victory.
